Fresh and feisty arrangements of beloved Jazz, Pop,
Classical and Americana music. Includes fiddles,
string quartet, vocals and a swingin' rhythm
section. Over the years of playing for
weddings and events, we've developed such a huge
repertoire of music that it seemed right to put a
sampling together of Effesenden Music's cover songs.
Many of Effesenden's wedding clients request
arrangements of pop songs along the lines of what
the Vitamin String Quartet produces. At least
up until now, the Vitamin String Quartet does not
make their arrangements available to other artists
who want to perform them... but that's okay because
we prefer to give these songs the "Effesenden Spin,"
by creating arrangements that showcase the
Effesenden style. Also on the album are
several jazz tracks with bass, drums, guitar and
vocals. We sometimes get categorized into the
realm of "classical violin" or "string trio."

Wendy Goodwin's vibrant fiddle playing and gentle

songs. After years of providing fiddle and
background vocals for other artists in the Indie
Rock, Country and Inspirational genres, Wendy was
ready to step to the center mic with her own tunes.
Wendy is always writing new songs and these together
with favorite covers make up the program for the
live shows that Goodwin frequently presents. |

annual Acoustic Christmas Concerts! These evenings
of warm and whimsical music feature Wendy Goodwin
together with a large group of talented musical friends.
They are unique in their instrumentation: lush
strings that weave in and out of classical, Celtic and
jazz together with piano, bass, drums and guest
vocalists. Night of Hope is a snapshot of
where it all began--when Wendy and her friends recorded
the music they would be performing at a benefit concert
for Hospice. |
