Wendy Goodwin has distinguished herself as a versatile and creative presence in the Pacific Northwest and beyond through unique violin and vocal stylings joining Classical, Jazz and Americana. Known for a rich tone, impeccable pitch and a spot on sense for when to lay back and when to let it rip, Goodwin is an in demand collaborator for both live performances and recording projects. Wendy’s own musical ventures range from the annual Acoustic Christmas concert series she produces with her 7-piece string band to benefit concerts featuring her original jazz and folk music to her classical chamber trio that takes the masters to the people with a strong educational component. In 2003, Wendy founded Effesenden Music, an event music company that is now celebrated in the wedding industry for its commitment to quality, creative music customized to the client’s own musical tastes. Since 2009, Wendy has worked extensively with Windham Hill/ArkMusic recording artists Jeff Johnson and Brian Dunning on projects ranging from contemporary Celtic holiday music to the upcoming Coram Deo release featuring soprano Janet Chvatal and baritone Marc Gremm.
